Sales – Senior Trader

Job Responsibilities

  • Prospecting for Supply and Sales leads, inside and outside our Database
  • Cold Calling Suppliers and Customer to create “Win Win” Solutions
  • Understanding current market dynamics within each product segment
  • Identifying and developing new accounts that fit our product segments
  • Collaborate with other Traders to offer superior pricing and customer service
  • Flexibility and ability to adapt in a quick fashion depending on the situation

Required/Minimum Qualifications

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • High comfort level with web-based technology
  • Strong Problem Solving and Analytical skills
  • Ability to work in an entrepreneurial, unstructured, action oriented team
  • Creative and flexible approach to building new accounts
  • Fast learner – get up to speed on products quickly
  • A passion for attention to detail
  • 2+ years of Commodity Sales Experience
  • Established contacts/book of business in Seconds & Surplus, Building Materials, Lumber & Panel Products or Agriculture products.

Additional or Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Sales, Business Administration, Marketing, or related field
  • Experience in highly competitive roles!
